While the insurance companies continue to make commercials to entice you to go with them and have them behind you in case of an accident, they may not have your best interests in the end.

When you are in an accident you want a company that will pay the claim and not subject you to an unnecessary lawsuit. Paying a claim is the reason you pay to have insurance. Having an insurance company that wants to fight everything will put you in the position of having a lawsuit filed against you.
